Almagd TV Faith What do we believe? 1- The Bible: The Bible is the only revealed word of God “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (II Timothy 3:16) 2- God’s Unity: God is one “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!” (Deuteronomy 6:4), He revealed Himself in 3 Persons (The Aramaic word of “Person” means a distinct character but not separated) The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. The Three Persons are equal in essence and united without mix, and unique in their role without separation “When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”” (Matthew 3:16-17) 3- Redemption: Jesus Christ came to earth to redeem the human being and he died on the cross to return human’s broken relation with God to how it was supposed to be before the falling of Adam and Eve in the sin, and to destroy the devil’s work “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.” (I John 3:8) and (II Corinthians 5: 11-21). 4- Salvation: Salvation is a free gift from God to humans and this great gift is received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and not through works. “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”” (Acts 4:12). And “'For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:8-10) 5- New Birth: Birth from the Spirit (John 3) or Second Birth is an essential issue for all humans and it happens through repentance, confession and faith in Jesus Christ only, and it leads to eternal life. “'that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10) 6- Water Baptism: We believe in the water baptism of the believers as a fulfillment of God’s commandment after salvation “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19). “'Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” (Romans 6:4) 7- Gospel Evangelism: We believe that evangelism through the spread of the good news and discipling those who accept the faith are from the top priorities of the believers who are considered the Church of Christ that He bought by His blood. “'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” (Matthew 28:18-20). And “'let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.” (James 5:20). 8- The second return of Christ: We believe in the second return of Lord Jesus to earth to condemn the living and the dead “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” (Hebrews 9:27-28).
